DOTES Heat Detectors

For use in high ambient temperatures in potentially explosive environments

The DOTES heat detectors are intended for operation in high temperature environments conditioned by technological requirements (for example, gas turbine units), as well as in such locations, where it is not possible to use other types of sensors.

The temperature actuation threshold of DOTES is set up in the range from +800oC up to +2500oC depending on customer request.

Sensors are intended to control the temperature of the environment in spots where hi-tech equipment is installed, at pump stations, petroleum and natural gas main pipelines, reservoir parks, filling stations etc, to send preliminary and alarm signals when reaching critical temperatures; and to launch automatic protection programs for pump stations.

The DOTES detectors are especially reliable owing to their design simplicity and the absence of microchip components.

DOTES consists of an explosion-protected case with embedded thermosensitive element on the base of bimetallic plate.

After the setup temperature has been reached, the detector actuates, breaks the contacts and stops breakdown unit (oil- and gas-transfer pumps and units).

Because DOTES is installed in immediate proximity to technological blocks and operating units, they are provided with increased vibro-stability to avoid false responses when starting engine operation.
